VERNA HASH --- Biography and Artist Statement
Verna has been teacher and mentor to several current art teachers and one university professor.
Her art has been in numerous juried shows in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area and recently in Charlotte and Monroe, North Carolina. She is a former juried member of the Cape Fear Studios in Fayetteville, and is currently a member of the Southern Piedmont Artist Guild and Mint Hill Arts. Verna is the past Exhibition Chairperson for Matthews Artists Guild.
Realism is the area of art that Verna finds most rewarding and challenging with a strong emphasis on drawing skills. Because of her teaching background she has a working knowledge and expertise in various media.
Her artistic mission is "to produce beautiful images of our world that reflects her acknowledgement of God as the creator of all things".
