Following retirement, Jane was interested in finding a new challenge to occupy her time. That challenge and an opportunity to meet new people appeared in the “Center Piece”, published by the Stanly County Senior Services Department, in the form of a Beginner’s Stained Glass Class. That was back in 1999 and the rest is history.

 

It has indeed been an opportunity to use her creative skills in completing stained glass objects from small sun catchers to window panels, to a child’s train with a car carrying an “M” for the last name, an 8-sided dragonfly lamp shade, various forms of jewelry and numerous styles of angels. She has entered various art shows and craft fairs throughout the state and out of state. There just are not enough hours now to do everything she wants to do.
