Gloria Arango Gloria Arango

Born into a family of highly acclaimed artists, I was a very young girl in Cali, Columbia, South America, when my parents gave me my first set of brushes and began to instruct me in painting. As I progressed as a budding artist, I was taught to work in acrylics, oils, watercolor, charcoal, ink and pastels on every possible surface from canvas to wood, to porcelain, to marble to silk. I was able to use whatever medium and whichever surface was best for the painting.
Over the years I have affiliated myself with a variety of organizations, both in South and North America. I surround myself with the very best artists, participate in every show to which I have access, read and study about every new technique. Winning my first award at the age of seven, my quest to learn, to improve, to leave an indelible impact in the field of art will never diminish.
For over 30 years, I studied in a variety of settings, exploring a diverse range of techniques and styles. Now I find a passion for not only continuing to paint, but to teach as I was taught. It is important that my students know how to use their artistic development to enhance their creativity.
