ABOUT MY ART…..
I design the color and texture of these unique pendants by manipulating pieces of glass frit (ground glass) and hand-rolled sheets of glass and placing the pieces in a multilayered collage.
Each piece of sculpted and functional art glass is hand cut and fired to temperatures up to 1800-degrees for 10-hours or so. Some pieces have multiple firings. Inclusions are metals, micas, dichroic glass or high temperature enamels. The pieces are “cold-worked” with saws, grinders and sanders that have diamond blades or pads. Due to the nature of the medium, no two pieces will be exactly alike. Every piece is a “one-of-a-kind” artwork. It is my hope that you enjoy looking at my artwork as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
